OakLeaf Clinics - Rice Lake has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a part-time housekeeper.

Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley. 

Position description

As a housekeeper, you are responsible for cleaning patient rooms, offices, and common areas of the clinic, including the clinic entrance, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms. Duties include vacuuming, wiping down counters and sinks, and ensuring areas are tidy and free from hazards. You'll assist in restocking supplies by monitoring, ordering, and replenishing cleaning supplies and toiletries in all designated areas as needed. This position requires you to adhere to and comply with all safety and health regulations, report maintenance issues or safety hazards, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Clean patient rooms, including vacuuming, wiping down counters and sink 
  • Deep clean areas on a rotating schedule to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
  • Clean vacuum, sweep, and maintain common areas of the clinic, including clinic entrance, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms, ensuring they are tidy and free from hazards
  • Monitor, order, and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries in patient rooms and other designated areas as needed
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department for prompt resolution
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of cleaning chemicals

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Familiarity with various cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals used in healthcare environments
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
  • The ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy objects as required by the job
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
  • Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to meeting work schedules
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and other hospital staff
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle emergency cleaning situations
  • Good verbal communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting (preferred)

Salary: $18 per hour, commensurate with experience
