Mammography is a standardized exam, but it is not as simple as making copies on a copy machine. Each patient is different and requires the technologist to personalize positioning, compression, and radiation dose to achieve the best-quality mammogram. If a breast is not positioned properly, tissue is left out, or a breast is compressed improperly, cancer can be missed. Poor positioning or improper compression can also significantly affect a patient's experience during the exam.

Volpara Analytics assesses positioning quality, compression, and dose for every mammogram image.  It also provides each technologist with feedback on each exam, highlighting high-performance areas and areas for improvement.
